Swimming was the first sport initiated by Step by Step back in 1996, and it remains the most popular activity today, with 76 children attending a swimming session once a week.

Swimming is therapeutic for children with disabilities; your child will love the freedom of movement they experience in the pool. Splashing about in the pool gets your child moving without realising they are working out.

Your child will achieve excellent outcomes at swimming; improved balance, muscle tone, posture, gait, as well as increased independence as they learn to dress/undress themselves.

Your child can start swimming from age 3, to benefit from all that swimming has to offer. Some children learned to walk or sit up unaided, through participating in swimming.
